Follow-Me Printer Setup

Follow-Me Printing is only available on macOS computers. If after following the instructions below you have any issues or questions, please contact the support team at support@asij.ac.jp

Setup, Part 1: Remove Old Printers

If you have ASIJ printers on your computer that predate the 2024-25 school year, including old Follow-Me Printers, it is important that you remove them. They will no longer work.

Click/tap the 'apple' icon in the upper left corner of your screen and select 'System Settings':
In 'System Settings', scroll down the left menu options until you see 'Printers & Scanners' and select it:
You will see a list of printers. Right-click/two-finger-tap one of the listed printers and select 'Remove Printer...':
In the pop-up choose 'Remove Printer':
Repeat for all ASIJ printers on your computer.

Setup, Part 2: Install Printer Driver

If you see a button called 'Download anyway', click/tap that button:
Open your Downloads folder and double-click/tap on the Follow-MeDriver DMG:
In the window that opens, double-click/tap on the Fujifilm PKG file to run the installer:
Keep clicking on 'Continue' to proceed through the installer. Enter password or Touch ID when prompted and wait for the Fujifilm print driver to install:
When finished, feel free to move the installer to the trash.

Setup, Part 3: Install Follow-Me Printer

Download the Follow-Me Printer installer by clicking/tapping this link: Follow-Me Setup

Open your Downloads folder and double-click/tap on the Follow-Me DMG:
In the window that opens, double click the robot icon that's called "Follow-Me Printer Setup":

You will get a pop-up that asks if you're sure if you want to open the program. Please click "open":

Another pop-up will show telling you that you are about to install the follow-me printing script, go ahead and click "OK":

When prompted, enter your ASIJ username (your email address before the @ mark) and click/tap 'OK':

You'll need to restart your computer once before printing:
The first time you print, you may see the following pop-up. If you do, just click/tap 'Open':

How-to Print

Print to your Follow-Me Printer on your computer.
Walk to any Follow-Me Printer on campus.
Tap your ASIJ ID card on the Gold Card sticker on the left side of the printer:
Tap the green button on the screen to print:
That's it!
Anything you Follow-Me Print will wait in the system for 24 hours. If you don't release it before then, you'll have to print it again.
