An overview of the process:
Preparation: Organize your data into three folders
- "Files for Me".
- "Files for Team".
- "Files for Me and Team".
Use Google Transfer to transfer your data to your destination account.
Check Transfer History on the Google Transfer page under "Manage transfer history." to confirm the transfer has worked as expected. This may take weeks to complete.
Transfer Files to Team: Select the "Files for Team" and "Files for Me and Team" and drag them to your team's Shared Drive. You will still have access to the files, but now they will be available for your team even after your account is disabled.
